Hamburg, NY – The community is invited to join the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce to meet the two Town of Hamburg Supervisor Candidates Dennis Gaughan and Jim Shaw on Thursday, October 12th at 3:30 pm at The Lodge at Woodlawn Beach State Park located at 3580 Lakeshore Rd, Blasdell, NY 14219. In a bipartisan forum, the goal of this session is to help the voters and business leaders of the Town of Hamburg become as informed as possible before they vote in the November election.
Both candidates will first discuss their priorities in regards to the Town of Hamburg and their vision if elected to the position of Town Supervisor in November. Attendees will be allotted a question and answer period arbitrated by moderator, Keith Weslowski, Principal of the Wesolowski Law Group and Hamburg Chamber of Commerce Board Member. After the question and answer period, a meet and greet session with each candidate will be held with coffee and desserts. The cost is $10 to attend.
Both are natives of Hamburg, NY and currently reside in the Town. The Democratic Party endorses Jim Shaw while the Conservative Party of the Republican, Independent, and Reform Parties endorses Dennis Gaughan. Among other worthy achievements, Shaw also served as Erie County Assistant DA, Erie County Legal Deputy County Clerk, Erie County Legislature Democratic Majority and Minority Counsels, and is counsel to a number of Town and school boards including Lackawanna City Schools, Frontier Central Schools, Town of Eden and the Villages of Blasdell and Farnham. Gaughan is the former Hamburg Town prosecutor and Assistant Town Attorney, and former Blasdell Village Prosecutor.
This event is open to everyone and reservations are required. To reserve your seat, you can go online to the calendar of events at www.hamburg-chamber.org or by calling the Hamburg of Chamber Office at (716) 649-7917, open Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm. Reservations are just $10 which go to the venue and do not profit either candidate. Check in begins at 3:00 pm with the program to run from 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm at The Lodge at Woodlawn State Park, 3580 Lakeshore Rd., Blasdell, NY 14219.
