The Hamburg Natural History Society/Penn Dixie is proud to be honored with a $15,500 grant from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation.
The Design and Access grant — which was funded through the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo — will be used specifically towards the design of a permanent educational center at Penn Dixie Fossil Park & Nature Reserve in Hamburg.
We couldn’t be happier. The award is our first major gift towards our most considerable goal yet since acquiring the former Penn Dixie Cement Quarry in 1996. Funds will be applied to architectural renderings and site surveys for the building which will be located on unused HNHS property adjoining Jeffrey Blvd. in Hamburg.
