Hamburg, NY – This year the 43rd Hamburg Farmers’ Market will be moving starting on June 20, 2020 from the Hamburg Village Municipal Parking Lot to Moose Lodge 992 in Hamburg.
The move comes after large crowds packed the market in its first two weeks of opening. The the lot cannot accommodate proper social distancing, so this move will keep the market open for the season. Moose Lodge 992 is located at 45 Church St. in Hamburg at the corner of Lake St., still within the Village limits.
Market Manager, Jamie Decker stated, “ We love that people love our market and are loyal to it. We also understand it is giving people a sense of normalcy during these past few months. However, in order to accommodate such large crowds, we need a space we can spread out and unfortunately, the Village Municipal Lot just doesn’t have the room for that. We want to keep everyone safe and comfortable, and that includes our staff, our vendors, and of course our patrons.”
The market will run its usual hours from 7:30am-1pm every Saturday through October 31, 2020 at its new location. Masks are not an option and patrons without them will not be allowed to enter the market area.
