Angola, NY – The Evans Chamber of Commerce has combined with the Southtowns Regional Chamber of Commerce (SRCC). After developing a plan with the Evans Chamber throughout 2020, the official expansion takes place on January 1, 2021.
Michelle Ford, Evans Chamber Chair of the Board commented, “Joining forces with the Southtowns Regional Chamber opens up a tremendous opportunity for our town’s small businesses to be recognized on a much larger scale. With having a full staff dedicated to the success of its members, our small business owners can leverage their resources to grow. This is truly a phenomenal win for us.”
“We are excited and humbled by the trust the Evans area businesses have put in us to expand into this new territory as we offer additional services to help promote their businesses and support their community efforts. This is a great opportunity for them to grow through the enthusiasm and connections our Chamber family has to offer. Our goal is to assist them in succeeding. We cannot wait to share our variety of programs with them in the new year!” remarked Cyndi Matla, Executive Director of the SRCC.
In 2019 after expanding to include the City of Lackawanna, the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce rebranded as the SRCC to better represent their business members across the Southtowns, including Hamburg, Boston, Lake View, Villages of Hamburg and Blasdell, and the City of Lackawanna. It was a natural progression to include the Evans area.
