HAMBURG, NEW YORK – The Fairgrounds Festival of Lights is excited to be bringing holiday spirit with the return of the drive through this year, but is also looking to highlight the creativity and imagination of our friends and neighbors in the southtowns. The inaugural “City of Lights” Home Decorating Competition will showcase families that go above and beyond decorating the exterior of their homes.
Locations of the homes entered will be placed on a map for families to take a leisurely drive to see and judge. In a partnership with National Grid, we encourage the use of energy efficient lighting to decorate. “This will provide for an even more festive night for families as they visit the Fairgrounds Festival of Lights and the decorated homes in the southtowns,” said CEO Jessica Underberg.
It’s easy to enter, visit www.FairgroundsHoliday.com and tap on the City of Lights Competition. All participants will be judged via online entries. The top three will be awarded prizes.
“For so many families, decorating their homes is a great way to get into the spirit of the holiday season, and the home decorating competition is sure to make the Erie County Fairgrounds a fun place to be throughout December,” said National Grid Regional Director Ken Kujawa. “As a company that strives to connect with and make a difference in the communities we serve, National Grid is proud to sponsor this event.”
The Fairgrounds Festival of Lights Drive Thru will be open every night in December (except December 24 & 25) from 5:00-9:00pm and admission can be purchased now at www.FairgroundsHoliday.com.
