HAMBURG, NY – The Best in Show Winning entries from both the homebrew competition and the cider competition will be ready for you to sample in a couple weeks.

The keg will be officially tapped on the 2022 Erie County Fair Craft Beer during a free community celebration from 5:00-7:00pm at Hamburg Brewing Company, 6553 Boston State Road, Hamburg on Thursday, July 28th. This year’s winning brew, a “Dark Mild” developed by homebrewer Jesse Walters of Cheektowaga, was named “Best of Show” during the Erie County Fair’s 2022 Home Brew Competition.  The event will feature samples of the winning homebrew.

The winning recipe from the best in show from the 2022 Erie County Fair’s Home Hard Cider Making Competition will be featured at a free community event on Thursday, August 4th at Buffalo Cider Hall, 155 Chandler Street, Buffalo.  This year’s winning cider, a “Hop Cider” was created by Patrick McPartland of Kenmore.  This event will feature free samples of the winning Erie County Fair Cider from 5:00-7:00pm.

These competitions have only been made possible with our partners from Try-It Distributing, Hamburg Brewing Company and Blackbird Cider Works.
